Memorable Moments of 2010

2010 was full of many adventures!  Here are some of my favorite memories from this year.

January
After the hustle and bustle of the holidays, January was a pretty low-key month for me.  I spent a lot of my time going to Jazz games.  During the Jazz vs. Nets game my aunt Pam let Emily and me sit in her company's corporate seats which are in row seven behind the basket!  It was absolutely thrilling to sit that close to the action.  I could hardly pay attention to the game!

February
In February Marilyn and I took Sean and Tashena on an excursion with the Heber Valley Railroad called "Bells and Whistles."  You ride the train along the Deer Creek Reservoir and take a horse-drawn sleigh through the Heber Valley.  So much fun!  Sean was absolutely fascinated by the horses!

March
In March Emily, Julie and I celebrated St. Patrick's Day by attending the Jazz game (it was my beloved Kyle Korver's birthday) and by wearing silly hats!

April
My family spent Easter camping at Palisade State Park.  Even though it snowed, we still had a lot of fun!
In April my family also attended Tashena's dance concert with Children's Dance Theatre.  The program was called True North and Tashena danced beautifully!

May
My family spent Memorial Day weekend camping at Utah Lake.  It was so much fun!

June
Right after school got out Marilyn and I took a dream vacation to London!  I promised Marilyn we would go anywhere she wanted after she graduated from college and she chose London.  It was an amazing trip!

July
In July I got to attend the Paul McCartney concert at Rio Tinto Stadium.  For those of you who know how much I absolutely love the Beatles, especially Paul, you can imagine how much I enjoyed this concert.  I sang every word!
I also got to attend a week-long conference in San Diego.  When we were finished with our meetings we played!

August
In August Marilyn and I made our annual trip to Cedar City for the Utah Shakespearean Festival.  We absolutely loved Macbeth.

September
Over the long Labor Day weekend Marilyn and I joined Kristine and her family on a trip to Yellowstone National Park!  We stayed at the KOA in West Yellowstone.  Kristine and her family stayed in their camper and Marilyn and I stayed in a Kabin.  It was a great trip!

October
October was the beginning of the 2010-2011 Jazz season!  We have a brand-new team, a brand-new court, and brand-new uniforms!  Emily and I got to sit in the lower bowl once again for the season opener!  Too bad we lost.
Marilyn and I threw a Halloween Party!  We had a lot of fun making all manner of Halloween treats and we turned my parents' house into a Haunted Manor using cheese cloth and cobwebs.  We both dressed as witches!

November
My parents spent the entire month of November in the motor home at an RV park in St. George.  I drove down to spend a weekend with them.  We were able to spend the day at one of my very favorite places:  Zion National Park!

December
I have many, many wonderful Christmas memories from the month of December but my favorite one is opening presents with Sean and Tashena Christmas morning!  I love these children so much and it was so much fun to see their expressions as they opened presents!
Getting a new car wasn't too shabby either!!

I am eagerly anticipating many new adventures in 2011.
Happy New Year Everyone!
