Valentine Candles

Do you need a cute Valentine's gift for friends or colleagues?  I found a really easy way to transform an inexpensive candle into a one-of-a-kind gift here but I adapted the design a bit to use rubber stamps.  Since I do a lot of scrapbooking I already had all of the supplies I needed once I purchased the pillar candles.
I looked through my rubber stamps until I found a design I liked.  I used red ink to stamp the design on some white tissue paper then I cut the design out close to the edges.  I placed the design right on a white pillar candle and covered it with some waxed paper.  I used an embossing heat tool (you can also use a hair dryer but it will take a little longer) to melt the tissue paper right into the candle.  It only takes a few seconds.  Carefully peel back the waxed paper.  Since the design is now a part of the candle you can burn it like you usually would.
I packaged them in cellophane bags with some red ribbon and they are ready to be given to friends.  Give them a try!
