You know that I love peeps so when I found this adorable topiary here I may or may not have squealed! To make this craft you will need a pail (I got mine at Michaels), some desert foam (I used a mug plug), a 12" wooden dowel, an 8" wooden embroidery hoop, a glue gun and glue, acrylic paint and paint brush, decorative ribbon, Easter grass, and four packages of peeps.
Paint your dowel whatever color you would like and let it dry. Glue the dowel to the opening in the embroidery hoop with a glue gun (use a lot of glue and hold it until it is set). Remove the peeps from the packages but do not separate them. Bend them a little bit so they will fit better on the embroidery hoop. Use a generous amount of glue on the embroidery hoop and attach the peeps a section at a time. Make sure that your peeps are all going in the same direction!
Glue the desert foam to the inside of the pail then push the dowel into the foam (you may want to put some glue on the dowel before doing this step). Use some Easter grass to fill in around and on top of the foam. Finish by tying some decorative ribbon around the dowel.
This topiary was pretty easy to make and I think it turned out so cute! Give it a try!
So adorable!! Thank you so much for participating and sharing your beautiful craft at the HOPPITY EASTER Craft Party!
