This project is the greatest thing ever! Spending three hours on Pinterest is not always a bad thing!
Buy a set of really inexpensive white Corelle dishes from Walmart.
Write some inspirational quotes directly on the dishes with a Sharpie fine point permanent marker.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
Bake the dishes for 30 minutes and the writing becomes permanent!
I could not be more thrilled with how these turned out! My style is very simple and classic and I have a decided preference for black and white so these are right up my alley.
I think they could be adapted for so many styles and occasions! Give them a try!
Note: My quotes come from an amazing song called "If You Believe" by George Harrison.
I love these! Great job! Thanks for linking up to the All Star Block Party!

ReplyDeleteThese look great - thanks for linking to TheStuffofSuccess Party. I have done similar things with Porcelain markers but even following the instructions the marker came off when washing (I don't have a dishwasher). I will have to try this and see if it holds up better!

ReplyDeleteI followed all your instructions but the writing came off when the bowls were washed. Very disappointing as they were part of a wedding gift. Any idea why it wasn't permanent?
