Valentine Ice Cream Sandwiches

It's about time to start making some sweet treats and I found a great one here.  This is a quick and easy way to turn an ordinary ice cream sandwich into something fun for your Valentine.
Start with a square ice cream sandwich then find a heart shaped cookie cutter that fits the size of it.  Push the cookie cutter firmly into the ice cream (you may need to use a knife to cut the shape all the way through)  then carefully remove the cookie cutter.  Do not eat all of the leftover ice cream or you will go into a diabetic coma (especially if you are making quite a few of these).
Dunk in some Valentine sprinkles.  I know you have a giant container of Valentine sprinkles leftover from a project you created last year...or is that just me?
Then insert a stick in the bottom of the heart (I used an 8-inch cookie stick).  Kinda cute, eh?
If you want to make them for use later, you can place them in a celo bag, tie with ribbon or baker's twine (my new favorite thing), and put them back in the freezer.
Give these a try!

  14. I was just reading through 'The Cookie Dough Lover's Cookbook' yesterday and there were ice cream sandwiches, albeit in cookie dough flavour, and I thought it's be pretty to make in heart shape. You beat me to it and they're beautiful too. I'm still going to make them sometime though.

I'm featuring these too on my blog tonight. You got a double feature. :)
