St. Patrick's Day Wreath

Do you remember the Valentine Wreath I made out of socks?  When I was buying the Valentine socks to make it, I found the cutest socks for St. Patrick's Day and, of course, I decided I had to make another one.
This one also makes me smile!  I don't have any St. Patrick's Day decorations so it was fun to finally add something festive.
Once again, I used a 16-inch extruded foam wreath and used a serrated knife to cut an opening.  I bought three sets of St. Patrick's Day socks (they came in a pack of two) and cut the heal off.  I put the socks onto the wreath, one at a time, overlapping the cuff to hide the raw edges.  Once the socks were on the wreath I used a glue gun to attach the ends of the wreath back together and arranged the socks over the seam.  I attached a bow made out of green gosgrain ribbon with a bit of hot glue.
I found my socks at Walmart a few weeks ago but I didn't see any there the other day.  You might find some at the dollar store.  Give it a try!
